What outcome is needed? Which people need to be involved? What process is needed?

Independent Convenor

What is an Independent Convenor?
Larger organisations such as Government Departments increasingly require one third party to handle all their stakeholder engagement requirements on a project, often for a number of years. This is where appointing an independent Convenor can be valuable, especially for a contentious issue where independence is key.

What does 3KQ do in this role?
3KQ's role as independent Convenor is to:
  - be the central point of contact for stakeholders on the project
  - design workshops and other engagement activity
  - deliver workshops and other engagement activity
  - write independent and balanced reports
  - liaise with participants
  - make independent judgements on membership, expenses, payment etc
  - mediate as needed
  - run training for staff or participants as needed
  - hold the secretariat for all engagement activity

Overall, to provide expertise and independence to the process of stakeholder engagement over a long period of time.
