Associate Facilitator, Trainer.
Rowena’s background is in education and community development. She spent many years developing partnership projects with schools, libraries, social and health services in Bristol to encourage Family Learning Projects – precursors of Sure Start Initiatives. The challenge was to find ways of enabling people from very different backgrounds and interests to work more effectively together to achieve shared aims on behalf of the communities they served. Rowena was trained by Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation in Planning for Real, in mediation and in 1999 went on to train and work with The Environment Council as an associate facilitator and trainer of stakeholder dialogue.
Over the years Rowena has designed and facilitated a wide range of workshops and training for public and private sector clients. Her work spans countryside management, nuclear, wildlife, community, planning, waste and partnership working to name but a few.
