Sustainability in the South-East

Funder South East England Regional Assembly

Context  SEERA coordinates the work of the Sustainable Futures Group, which was created to champion sustainable development in the South East of England. Their first task was to develop a Regional Sustainability Framework (RSF), to set a common vision, goals and priorities to help guide sustainable development in the South East. The RSF’s principles will provide consistency across all regional strategies and policies, for the Assembly and for the other regional partners. To do this well, it was important that people and organisations with a stake in the RSF were consulted in its development.

3KQ's Role  We were asked to help design and facilitate two workshops (Woking and Brighton), for people from public sector organisations, businesses and community groups. Our innovative workshop design enabled a great number of responses and views to be debated and collected. We also briefed the team of volunteer facilitators who helped us to run the event, and produced reports of the workshops for the SFG. The RSF was finalised in June 2008
