What outcome is needed? Which people need to be involved? What process is needed?

Workshops and Facilitation

Workshops are 3KQ's key strength. Sound design, thorough preparation and assertive facilitation are what has made 3KQ a success over recent years.

Our approach:

Stage 1 Identify aim/objectives, invitees and a draft agenda (the 3KQs)

Stage 2 Send invitations, liaise with key stakeholders, prepare materials

Stage 3 Set up and Facilitation of workshop, including evaluating

Stage 4 Reporting, confirming actions and recommending way forward

Our team:
For a workshop of up to 25 people we normally recommend a minimum of two facilitators, one to run the discussion and one to support, record and monitor activity. Larger workshops usually benefit from a larger team, providing more flexibility to split the event into parallel discussions or breakout groups. To some this may seem a luxury, but remember that stakeholders' time is valuable and should be maximised by having a large enough team to deliver the workshop participants need.

 10 things a Facilitator does...

  1 - design the agenda
  2 - run the meeting/workshop
3 - stop one person dominating
4 - keep people on track
5 - keep the meeting on time
6 - break difficult issues into chunks
7 - pin down actions agreed
8 - clarify the way forward
  9 - ensure everyone has a say
  10 - treat everyone equally
